The 2020 Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA) Virtual Conference themed "Towards Sustainable Urban Governance in Asia: New Theory and Innovative Practice" took place today (September 25th). Dr. Maki Ito Tsumagari, JICA Advisor to NASC, and Mr. Bipin Ojha from NASC presented their paper entitled "Responding to Urban Sphere’s Mobility Challenge: A Case of Nepal’s Historic City". Dr. Maki from Japan and Mr. Ojha from Nepal co-ordinated together to present the paper.
The conference started at 6:15 AM NST and had arranged 15 different panels for 93 papers presentation. The conference was hosted by The Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA), China Institute for Urban Governance, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (CIUG, SJTU), School of International and Public Affairs, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SIPA, SJTU), and The China-America Association for Public Affairs (CAAPA). The next edition of AAPA Conference 2021 was announced to take place in Russia next year.
The conference was scheduled to take place in May 2020 in Shanghai, but later got postponed to September on a virtual platform due to COVID-19 pandemic.
