Introduction

Since the beginning of human civilization, governance became heart of development for every country. Poor countries are becoming poor because they have been experiencing bad governance. Good governance is one of the important factors for determining the overall development of the country. It ensures equitable development of people from all sects and eventually enhances peace and prosperity. It is expressed through rules based conduct, responsiveness, ethics/integrity, trust, accountability, transparency, free flow of information, equity, inclusiveness, participation, and focus on the public interest. Hence, it ensures everyone’s human rights and equal opportunities. The main purpose of this training is to strengthen the capacity of government officials to exercise good governance practices for managing development functions of the country.
