This discussion series aims to introduce to Nepali colleagues issues pertaining to how Japanese public administration reform has evolved with a focus on its civil service system. The speaker will also share his informed academic and professional knowledge on the theme, including strengths, weaknesses, and further reform agendas surrounding the Japanese civil service.
Dr. Osmau Koike is a tenured Professor of Public Policy and Administration, Graduate School of International Social Sciences, at Yokohama National University (YNU), Japan. At YNU, he has been holding various academic positions since 1998. As Japan's representative comparative public administration authority, Dr. Koike also assumes leadership roles in international fora such as vice presidentship for Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA).
