The Training of Trainers (ToT) program for officials from the Ministry of Finance, Financial Comptroller General Office, and the Office of the Auditor General commenced on the 16th of Falgun, 2080 (1st January 2024) at the Public Finance Management Training Center (PFMTC) located in Harihar Bhawan, Pulchowk, Lalitpur. This five-day training initiative is a collaborative effort between the Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC) and PFMTC. The program, meticulously designed and executed by the Centre for Human Resource Management (CHRM) under the Management Learning Group of NASC, focuses on enhancing the capabilities of the participants. The distinguished individuals gracing the opening event included Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire, Secretary of Revenue- Ministry of Finance, who presided as the Chief Guest. Mr. Ram Prasad Acharya, Training Chief of PFMTC, assumed the role of the Chairperson for the occasion. Additionally, the event had the esteemed presence of Mr. Uttam Acharya, Director of Studies at NASC, and Mr. Gopi Prasad Kharel, Senior Instructor at PFMTC, serving as notable guests.
Mr Gopi Prasad Koirala expressed that this program will be fruitful and exciting, encouraging each participant to be thoroughly engaged in each session. Subsequently, Mr. Acharya provided a comprehensive overview of the training components, emphasizing the intricacies of its design and contents. Following the formal inauguration, Dr. Ghimire delineated the various roles and skills expected to be enhanced through the program, underscoring the distinctiveness of the Training of Trainers (T0T) initiative. He conveyed his best wishes for the success of the event, expressing a desire for it to be a valuable and unique learning experience. Further, Mr. Ram Prasad Acharya elucidated the role of the NASC emphasized the coordination with NASC, particularly highlighting the significance of this training for professionals in public financial management. He acknowledged the participants' presence and expressed keen interest in observing the program, drawing parallels to the previous years’ experience. With a positive outlook on the program's ability to meet its objectives, Mr. Acharya officially announced the commencement of the training. The program was hosted by Mr. Madhu Sudan Poudel.
