The certification and closing ceremony of Professional Course on Management and Development (PCMD) ninth batch was held virtually on 15 Chaitra 2078. The event was chaired by Executive Director of NASC Dr. Rajan Khanal. Senior Director of Studies Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel and Director of Studies Mr. Binod Kumar Bista were also present in the closing ceremony along with other NASC Officials. Twenty-Seven Officers from Government of Nepal completed the training programme successfully.
On behalf of all the training participants, Mr. Durga Prasad Neupane thanked NASC for organizing the training programme and shared that the initiative taken by NASC for online training has been fruitful. He shared his reflection of learnings from the training. He appreciated the training contents and overall management of the programme. He expressed that all the modules of the training had rich contents and can be used practically in personal as well as professional lives.
Centre Chief of Centre for In-service Training Mr. Binod Kumar Bista congratulated all the participants for successfully completing the training programme and requested all the participants for proper application of knowledge and skill in their workplace while delivering public services.
Department head of Public Service Training Department Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel also congratulated all the participants for successfully completing the training programme and expressed his hopes that all the participants will apply the knowledge and skills learnt from during the training for delivering effective public service. Then, the result was announced as per the evaluation criteria. All participants obtained first division. Mr. Subas Wagle was the topper of the training program.
After the certification ceremony, Dr. Khanal, the chair of the closing program, congratulated the participants on successful completion of the training. Dr. Khanal expressed his expectation to the participants to take a role as a change agent in their respective work places while delivering public services by properly utilizing the knowledge and skills learnt from the training. He further stressed that NASC has inculcated a learning mindset among the participants and it is now the sole responsibility of the participants to broaden their knowledge base beyond this training programme. Dr. Khanal put his closing remarks by sharing a quote, “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear”, highlighting the fact that learning depends on us and knowledge is everywhere if we are determined to learn with an open mindset.
The training management team of the training programme Mr. Pratibha Dhungana and Mr. Krishna Bahadur Thapa congratulated the participants for successfully completing the training programs.
