Closing Ceremony of Negotiation Skills for Officials of Public Institutions

The 3 days Training on Negotiation Skills for Officials of Public Institutions concluded today with the closing ceremony chaired by Executive Director of NASC Dr. Rajan Khanal. Department Head and Senior Director of Studies, Mr. Binod Kumar Bista was also present in the event. On behalf of the participants, Ms. Astha Acharya and Mr. Bed Prasad Bhandari gave their overall reflections on the training. Ms. Astha shared that this was her first training experience in NASC. She added that she is excited to gain the particular skill of negotiation along with the diverse learning from the participants as well. Mr. Bhandari also expressed his gratitude for conducting specific and customized training on Negotiation. He mentioned that classroom learning would only be used if we could use them in contextual settings. Dr. Khanal felicitated all the participants through the completion certificate. In his closing remarks, he mentioned that negotiation itself sometimes brings higher and complex conflict thus persuasive and impactful negotiation skills are a necessity for accepting and resolving the differences across individuals and organizations and sustaining them over time.  Lastly, he congratulated and provided his best wishes to all the participants and added that this training has created an avenue for them to enhance their negotiating skills that can help them overcome various challenges—at work and beyond.
