Closing ceremony of the seven days training on Orientation Programme on Management and Development (OPMD) for newly appointed gazette class II officers (Undersecretary) of Government of Nepal was conducted on 2078/10/06 in online modality. Deputy Executive Director Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal chaired the ceremony. Mr. Trilochan Poudyal, center chief of Center for Induction Training (CIT) hosted the ceremony. 22 participants successfully completed the training program. Mr. Neetij Rai spoke as representative from the participants. He stated that “With great power comes great responsibility.” Now after the training program they are ready to face challenges that will come once they resume their new role and office. He also quoted a famous saying by Robin Sharma the famous author of The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari “Better awareness leads to better choice, better choices leads to better decisions, better decisions leads to better choices, and better choices results better performance.” He also said that the training program provided opportunity to put light in their new role as well as it provided an opportunity for networking among each other. The participants are now ready for efficient pubic service delivery, as the program has provided them with positive energy to make better and informed decisions. He also MoFAGA, NASC, Management Team, Resource Persons, and Participants for the success of the training program.
Then Senior Director and Department Chief of Public Service Training Department (PSTD), Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel congratulated for successfully completing the training program. He also stated that it is now the responsibility of the participant’s to understand use the learnings in their professional and personal life. He also stated that the participants were able to learn from their seniors and peers through experience sharing and socialization. He also asked them to perform for effective public service delivery so that the overall governance and development system of Nepal will have a good effect.
At the end Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Deputy Executive Director of NASC congratulated the participants and asked them to stay safe and follow the government rules and regulation to stay safe and keep others safe in this dire COVID situation. He also mentioned that now they are in higher position they have to upgrade themselves for the new role. He also requested the participants to keep their learning attitude by asking question whenever they have one. He suggested the participants to be active in personal as well as professional life to achieve success in their life. He asked them to maintain the honesty and integrity they have earned by performing in their previous role. He also asked them to become truthful to self and perform to resurrect the prestige of civil service in Nepal. Lastly, he thanked training management team, ministry (MoFAGA), and participants in playing their respective role to make the program meaningful.
