The certification and closing ceremony of Managerial and Administrative Skills Training (MAS) was held virtually on Falgun 06, 2078. The five days training program started from Falgun 02, 2078 on virtual platform. Executive Director of NASC Dr. Rajan Khanal chaired the event. Other dignitaries present were Head of Public Service Training Department (PSTD) and Senior Director of Studies Mr. Tulsi Sharan Sigdel, and Chief of Center for Induction Training (CIT) and Director of Studies Mr. Trilochan Poudyal.
Dr. Shyan Kirat Rai, Deputy Director of Studies hosted the event by welcoming all the participants and officials from NASC. During the ceremony, Mr. Labraj Ghimire as a representative of participants from Mechi group thanked NASC for the overall implementation and successful completion of the training program. Ms. Jamuna Dhital from Koshi group shared her experience of virtual training being interactive and they were able to take benefit not less than physical mode of training, and concluded that overall training was fruitful. Ms. Sima Yadav from Karnali group also thanked NASC for providing them opportunity of training session from specialized resource person. She added the learning would be useful in personal as well as professional life during public service delivery.
Following the reflections from participants, Mr. Trilochan Poudyal congratulated all the participants for completing the training program and suggested to reflect the knowledge and skills gained in their behavior and attitude in the enhancement of public service delivery of GoN. He further detailed on the training program design. Then Mr. Tulsi Sharan Sigdel congratulated and suggested the participants to implement the learning from training as much as possible in their professional days ahead.
At the end the chair of the closing program, Dr. Khanal congratulated the participants on successful completion of the training. He shared that the pandemic has caused everything to move towards neo normal and virtual training is one component of it. He added that every sector is becoming IT friendly nowadays, so the public sector of Nepal also has to adopt IT in its service delivery process. He requested the participants to use IT in its best form during public service delivery and be a part of transforming public services in online mode as well. Then Dr. Khanal formally closed the event.
