The fourth batch of Advanced Course on Management and Development (ACMD) commenced on 2079/04/19, Thursday at Nepal Administrative Staff College, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur. There are 27 class two or equivalent level trainee officers representing different ministries of the Government of Nepal and public institutions. The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Binod Kumar Bista, Chief of the Centre for In-Service Training, and the program was hosted by Ms. Shailaja Upadhayaya.
Mr. Bista welcomed the participants and highlighted the ACMD course redesign process, the core competency framework, and the commitment of NASC to make the training program more effective and relevant to the current context. Mr. Bista also highlighted the objectives of the course and expressed his expectation from participants to make classroom sessions more useful and interactive. He further expressed that "we collectively take classroom session as a learning lab in which we test, re-test and perform". In this foundation, he requested all the participants for their active and useful participation in learning activities.
The coordinators for the training program are Ms. Shailaja Upadhayaya and Mr. Shailendra Prasad Bhatt. The coordinators also welcomed all the participants in the training and highlighted the course requirements along with the basic norms of the training.
