Nepal Administrative Staff College welcomed Hon'ble Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) Mr. Aman Lal Modi in a ceremony organized by NASC on 2079 Falgun 17. Mr. Modi is also a Chairperson at NASC Governing Council. In the welcome ceremony, NASC Executive Director Dr. Rajan Khanal, Deputy Executive Director Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Senior Directors Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel and Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, Directors and other staff were present on the occasion.
First of all, Executive Director Dr. Khanal welcomed Mr. Modi and briefed about the composition of the staff at NASC. He then briefly explained about the activities being conducted in NASC campus. Later on, NASC Deputy Executive Director Mr. Lamsal gave a presentation about NASC. In his presentation, Mr. Lamsal highlighted about the objectives of NASC establishment, council and committees within NASC, prevailing rules and regulations, physical facilities, amount of annual budget, annual target and achievements.
As a gratefulness for warm welcome at NASC, Hon'ble Minister Mr. Modi shared that he is always ready to support NASC and its programs and activities. He urged NASC faculties to keep on acquiring knowledge and skills of various methods and approaches so that trainers will be in a better position to create and deliver training programs that will address knowledge and skills gap of employee. He also suggested that, Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration being liaison ministry, NASC should not keep distance with the Minister and ministry. He viewed that the bonding of NASC and liaison Ministry will be fruitful in fulfilling NASC objectives and goal. Last but not the least, Dr. Khanal thanked Hon'ble Minister for his time and presence at NASC.
After the completion of formal program, Hon'ble Minister Mr. Modi had a short tour of NASC premises. He also had an interaction with the Basic Administrative Training’s trainee officials regarding the effectiveness of the training and learning from the training.
