The seven-day orientation program for newly appointed gazetted class II officers started from 2078 Chaitra 07, Monday. Mr. Trilochan Poudyal hosted the opening ceremony. Dr. Rajan Khanal, Executive Director chaired the program and Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, Senior Director of Studies and Ms. Humkala Pandey, Chief District Officer of Kavre were present as distinguished guests.
Mr. Poudyal started the opening ceremony by welcoming the participants and congratulating them on their success. He then welcomed Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel to explain about the training program. Mr. Sigdel welcomed and congratulated the participants. He briefed them about the formulation, content and expectations of the training program along with short introduction to each module of the training. Moving on, he also focused on how the roles have being deepened as the officers have stepped up to higher level, and how this program will help them share and learn from experiences of the participants as well as the resource person in a single platform provided by NASC. Mr. Sigdel also mentioned about enriching and improving the training courses as per the feedback collected from previous officers.
Mr. Poudyal then welcomed Executive Director Dr. Rajan Khanal, for official inauguration of the program. Dr. Khanal welcomed and congratulated the officers for their new role. He began with brief explanation on tacit and explicit knowledge and the importance of amalgam of both knowledge for better understanding and solving of problems faced by public sector and hence, improve service delivery to the public. He also focused on importance of training and how this orientation program can help them increase knowledge, skills, and attitude, which will make them easy to adopt in their changed roles. Additionally, Dr. Khanal also mentioned about learning from practical interaction and discussions among the related officers along with the resource persons, and, encouraged everybody to place logical and rational questions until all the confusion are cleared.
In the end, Dr. Khanal concluded his speech by formally opening the ceremony by congratulating the officers once again and wishing them for successful completion of the training ahead and honest feedback from the participants on the program.
