The 7 days Orientation Programme on Management and Development for newly recruited Class II officers of the Government of Nepal started on Ashad 13, 2079. The opening ceremony of the programme was held today and Ms Anita Poudel, Deputy Director of Studies, hosted the ceremony. Dr Rajan Khanal, Executive Director of NASC chaired the programme. Mr Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, Senior Director of Studies and Department Head of Public Service Training Department and Mr. Trilochan Poudyal, Director of Studies and Centre Head of Centre for Induction Training were presented as distinguished guests.
Mr. Sigdel welcomed all the participants. He shared that from now onward participants have to take an influential position in their organization for which this training will create learning and interactive platform that will broaden their knowledge and skills required for their new position. He further explained about the training module which is divided into 3 sections – managerial and leadership efficiency, policy and development, and public service delivery. He added that the training will not only focus on process and system but also on delivery and results.After the speech of Mr. Sigdel, participants had a round of introduction.
Finally, Dr Khanal gave his concluding remarks. He emphasized on the objective of the programme that is to enhance the deeper understanding and critical insights of newly appointed Under Secretaries of the Government of Nepal. He also said that the training program will expand the thinking horizon and problem-solving approach of the trainees. He concluded the opening ceremony by congratulating all the participants.
