Newly Appointed Undersecretaries of Government of Nepal will be given a 5-days Virtual Orientation Training from 09-15 Baishak, 2078 by NASC. The programme aims at enhancing the deeper understanding of newly appointed Under Secretaries of Government of Nepal to develop themselves as the performing leader to deliver development results and improve public service delivery considering the governance and administration complexities in changing socio-political and governance context. The training is designed in such a way which helps in imparting innovative perspectives on management and development and inculcate them with practical knowledge and skills required for developing strategic orientation to effectively implement their functional roles. This five-day program will be instrumental in providing a learning platform to analyze and discuss the critical and complex issues of administration, management, governance and development within the broader framework of constitution, national policy priorities and citizen’s aspiration. This learning platform would be an opportunity for the Under Secretaries to enhance and develop their leadership and managerial competencies to deliver quality service to the people.
The formal opening of the program on April 21st was chaired by Dr. Rajan Khanal, Executive Director of NASC. Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, Senior Director of NASC spoke on the design of the program. Sectary of Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration Mr Ek Narayan Aryal gave his remarks to motivate the participants and what this orientation would mean to them. He also thanked NASC for organizing such training Programs. Dr. Khanal closed the program with his remarks on how NASC will be always working on building the capacity all the employees of Government of Nepal.
Before the formal opening program, the technical orientation was conducted by Mr. Bipin Ojha to make the participants well-versed with the features of Google meet, the platform which will be used throughout the program. The program was hosted by Ms. Antovna Gyawali.
