Three days' training program on procurement of works (small) concluded

The three days' training program on procurement of works (small) for the ADB project officials concluded on Bhadra 01, 2079. Senior Director of Studies NASC, Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel chaired the closing session. Senior Procurement Officer of ADB Mr. Narendra Chand, TA Deputy Team Leader Mr. Keshav Bahadur Thapa, ADB Procurement Specialist Mr. Hari Prasad Dhakal were present as dignitaries/resource persons in the ceremony. Mr. Govinda Maharjan hosted the event.
On behalf of all the participants, Mr. Shyam Mani Kaphle shared his learning experience and also provided constructive feedbacks regarding training. He mentioned that the overall training program was fruitful as it covered many aspects of procurement procedures—from bid preparation and evaluation to contract award. He suggested to add more exercise and group work sessions to enhance pragmatic learning. He finally expressed his gratitude to CDRC for well managed training program.
Mr. Chand reiterated that the training program intended to enhance the procurement management knowledge and skills of the participants. He shared the importance of understanding the legal procedures, principles and practice of procurement and urged participants to apply the skills learnt during the training programs while preparing, and evaluating bid documents and awarding contract.
After the speech of Mr. Chand, participants were awarded training completion certificate by Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel, Senior Director of Studies NASC. In his closing remarks, Mr. Sigdel motivated the participants to execute the learning in their day-to-day job activities and wished all the participants a successful tenure ahead. Later on, he announced the formal closing of the program.
The three days' training program was coordinated by Mr. Shiva Hari Adhikari, Mr. Govinda Maharjan and Mr. Sashi Acharya. Altogether, 30 participants have completed the training successfully.
