
Baisakh 15, 2082; Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC) inaugurated a three-day Training Program on Environmental & Social Management Framework (ESMF) for officials of the Department of Roads (DoR) at Kailash Hall, Sampada Sadan, today.
The inauguration session was graced by representatives from Department of Roads, Er. Ahhiman Das Mulmi, Unit Chief, GESU, and Mr. Manoj Aryal, Environment Inspector, GESU. In his opening remarks, Mr. Mulmi emphasized the relevance of the training in strengthening institutional capacity and improving compliance with national and international environmental and social standards in road sector projects.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, Senior Director of Studies and Head of the Governance and Development Management Learning Group, NASC, who highlighted the importance of integrating environmental and social safeguards in infrastructure development to ensure sustainability and inclusiveness as well as NASC’s continued commitment to capacity building in climate-resilient and socially responsible infrastructure development. 22 participants form various offices under Department of Roads are participating in the program.
