
Training of Trainers (ToT) for the Officials of Public and Private Institutions commenced from 5th Poush to for 3 working days. This short source organized from 5 to 7 Poush, 2078 (20 to 22 December, 2021) was organized with the aim of developing professional trainers from both public and private organizations with the capacity of delivering capacity building programs in different areas and cascading the effect to different functional streams and levels. This training was conducted physically in two different groups which are Mechi Hall Narayani Hall of Mangal Sadan. The coordinators of the training were Mr. Devi Dutta Bhatta, Mr. Anup Bhurtel and Mr. Shashi Shekhar Acharya.
The opening of training was carried out in respective halls in which Mr. Uttam Acharya, Centre Chief of Centre for Human Resource Management under Management Learning Group inaugurated the program in Mechi Hall and Mr. Binod Kumar Bista, Centre Chief of Centre for In-service training inaugurated the program in Narayani Hall. Mechi Hall hosted 25 participants (18 Male and 7 Female) and Narayani Hall hosted 22 participants (13 Male and 9 Male). Both Mr. Acharya and Mr. Bista highlighted the importance of this brief, yet dense ToT for the officials who have to take up the responsibilities of a trainer or a facilitator. They briefly provided the overview of the course and wished for effective learning from this training and formally opened with program with the trust of inter-organizational learning and effectiveness of physical training.
The training included essential elements such as systematic approach to training, adult learning strategies, training methods, session plan, facilitation and presentation skills and practicum sessions. Overall, the participants were contented with the training and expressed for more days for further learning. The closing event was remarked by the presence of Executive Director Dr. Rajan Khanal who congratulated the participants for the successful completion of the training and also highlighted on the achievements of short term training that included professional networking, ability to present the content and facilitate the sessions professionally. The training completed with the commitment of the participants to apply the learning back on their job.
