The closing ceremony of 12 days Training Programme on Survey, Design and Construction Supervision of Motorable Bridge for Engineers of Department of Local Infrastructure was held on 28 Bhadra 2081.
The event was chaired by the Executive Director, Dr. Rajan Khanal. Moreover, the event had the presence of other distinguished dignitaries- Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel (Department Head of GDMLG, NASC), Mr. Mahesh Chandra Neupane (Director General of DOLI), Mr. Narayan Prasad Shrestha (Chief, Rural Road Bridge Section, DOLI) and Mr. Shakil Manandhar (Team Leader, LRBSU). Twenty-three engineers successfully completed the training program.
On behalf of the entire group, Mr. Dhakaram Acharya shared the experiences during the training period at NASC. The Director General of DOLI, Mr. Neupane, discussed the importance of the training and the also outlined the specific improvements and changes in job performance that are anticipated as a result of the training. Executive Director of NASC congratulated the participants on their successful completion of the training, and in his closing remarks he highlighted the 3 major competencies (Knowledge, skill and attitude) of training program. He emphasized the need to connect the gained knowledge with the skill in the field and also bring changes in attitude. The Executive Director also stressed that for officials engaged in this area has lots of opportunities as well as challenges, therefore perfect knowledge along with commitment is crucial.
