Closing Ceremony of Leadership and Management Training for Student Officers of Nepali Army War College

The 3-day training program on Leadership and Management Training for Student Officers of the All Arms Command and Staff Course of the Nepali Army War College concluded on Poush 20, 2079. The closing event was chaired by Executive Director of NASC, Dr. Rajan Khanal. Senior Director of Studies and Head of the Management Learning Group, Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel, the Commandant of the Nepali Army War College, Major General Asha Bahadur Tamang, PhD; and the Director of Studies and Chief of the Centre for Organization Development, Mr. Binod Kumar Bista were present as distinguished dignitaries along with the faculties of NASC. On behalf of student officers, Major Manoj Kumar Basnet expressed his appreciation to all resource persons and training management team of NASC for creating wonderful learning environment and developing informative and excellent training package. Following, Major General Tamang highlighted on the contribution of such capacity development package towards enhancing military leadership. He further emphasized on the importance of creating a long term vision and taking initiative to inculcate the learnings in their personal and professional lives. Executive Director of NASC, Dr. Khanal handed out the completion certificates to the student officers. He concluded the program by his closing remarks where he congratulated all the participants and wished them all the best for their future endeavors. He added that the knowledge that we gained in the training program needs to be translated in skill and behavior. He used examples of Lord Buddha and his disciple to illustrate the importance of our behavior in terms of the impact we create in our surroundings and within our team. He also focused on the long partnership between Nepal Administrative staff college and Nepali Army and wished for its continuity in days to come.

In the end, The Major General of the Nepali Army War College presented a token of appreciation to the dignitaries of the NASC and the training management team for their efforts. The closing ceremony was hosted by Ms. Anita Poudel. The training was coordinated by team members from the Centre for Organization Development: Ms. Anita Poudel, Mr. Pramod Niroula, and Ms. Chandni Kayastha.
