The first batch of Advanced Course on Management and Development (ACMD) for the fiscal year has begun in a physical mode today. There are thirty trainees who are class two or equivalent level officers representing different ministries of the Government of Nepal and public institutions. The opening ceremony was graced by Dr. Rajan Khanl, Executive Director of NASC, Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, Head of the Public Service Training Department, and Mr. Binod Kumar Bista, Chief of Centre for In-Service Training.
Mr. Sigdel welcomed the participants and congratulated them for being selected for the course. In his remarks, he highlighted the ACMD course redesign process, the core competency framework, and the efforts to make the learning and content more pertinent and practical. He wished for meaningful and active participation of the trainees to make the learning endeavor worthwhile.
According to Dr. Rajan Khanal, this batch of the ACMD is unique for two reasons: first, the course has been revisited to incorporate feedback from experts and alumni, and second, it is being conducted in a physical modality after two years. He asked the trainees to make the most of the opportunity by being inquisitive, constructive, and critical. Dr. Khanal emphasized NASC's efforts to make the course more participant-centric by incorporating new modular components like Know Your Economy (KYE) and Public Service Innovation (PSI). He urged trainees to have a unique learning experience at NASC.
This course, which is been coordinated by Ms. Saroja Shakya and Ms. Geetanjali Upadhyaya, will last until Asoj 4, 2079.
