It gives us immense pride to announce that 11 faculties of NASC presented eight papers along with one plenary speaker at the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA) Conference 2022, held on 14th and 15th September 2022. EROPA 2022 was hosted virtually by Nepal through the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) with the theme- "Governance and Public Administration in Covid-19 Pandemic: Learning, Innovations and Reforms in Managing Global Changes". The sub-themes of the conference were:
1. Strengthening the Role of the Governments
2. Reforming the Governance and Public Administration
3. Governance Innovation in Managing Global Changes
4. Strengthening Digital Governance for Managing Global Changes
Dr Shyan Kirat Rai, Deputy Director of Studies at NASC, was one of the plenary speakers on the theme "Strengthening Digital Governance for Managing Global Changes". In his presentation, he highlighted that digital transformation is necessary to change the face of the bureaucracy. Along with infrastructure development, educating all the stakeholders is equally important to minimize the existing digital divide. He also pinpointed that COVID-19 was a wake-up call to strengthen digital transformation. Besides, other faculties presented their papers in the respective panels.
