The 52nd Senior Executive Development Programme (SEDP) started from Shrawan 25, 2083. Twenty-five senior executives (Joint Secretaries) from Government of Nepal participated in the program. Center chief of Center for In-Service Training (CiST), Mr. Trilochan Poudyal hosted the opening ceremony. He welcomed all the participants and provided the context of SEDP.
Department chief of Public Service Training Department, Mr. Trilochan Pokhrel then welcomed the participants and briefly described about the design modality of the SEDP program. He briefly mentioned about the reasons behind specific modules in SEDP. He stated that NASC is a learning lab and therefore, the participants can be free to question, research, contest and bring in new perspective to the table. He expects participants to become authentic leaders without compromising on the fundamental values of public service.
Then the Officiating Executive Director, Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel welcomed the participants on-behalf of NASC. He mentioned SEDP as the flagship program designed to develop the senior executives to tackle the current situation and develop effective leadership skills. He expects that this training will help faculties of NASC and SEDP 52 participants to widen their horizon of thinking. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning for the depth of reflection and development of awareness. This was followed by interactive introduction of the participants. Mr. Poudyal then briefed about the course.
