The Training Programme on Survey, Design, Construction and Supervision of Motorable Bridge for Engineers of Department of Local Infrastructure (DOLI) commenced on 2nd Bhadra 2081 at NASC.The programme was specifically designed for the Engineers of DOLI to strengthen their Planning, Design, Implementation and Supervision competencies of Motorable Bridge.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Senior Director of Studies and Department Head of GDMLG Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel. Moreover, the opening event had the presence of other eminent dignitaries- Mr. Ishwor Marhatta, Director General of DoLI and Mr. Sundar Shrestha, Director of Studies and Center Chief of Centre for Project Management.
During the ceremony, DG Ishwor Marhatta congratulated and welcomed all the participants in the very training programme. He highlighted on the objectives and importance of local infrastructure in Nepal adding that the training would enhance the capacity of trainees, which will be applicable in professional development. Then Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, Department Head also welcomed all the participants and shed lights on how the Trainee Engineers are actually the role model for the younger generations. He motivated the trainees to actively participate and make the training program meaningful and lively to achieve the training objectives. Twenty-five engineers are participating in the programme.
