Closing Ceremony of 32nd Basic Administration Training (BAT)

32nd Basic Administration Training (BAT) concluded amidst the graceful presence of Hon'ble Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Hon'ble Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration Lal Babu Pandit, Chief Advisor to PM Mr. Bishnu Rimal, Secretary of Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration Mr. Dinesh Kumar Thapalia, Executive Director of NASC, Mr. Punya Prasad Neupane and Senior Director of Studies – Public Service Training Department Mr. Narayan Gopal Malego.

Hon'ble PM KP Sharma Oli formally inaugurated the closing ceremony by lighting the Panas. Executive Director of NASC, Mr. Punya Prasad Neupane handed the value commitment prepared by the trainee officers to Secretary of Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration Mr. Dinesh Kumar Thapalia. PM Oli appreciated the commitment presented by the trainee officers towards the nation and added his lines of commitment towards Nepal Government.

During the program, Ms. Rajani Regmi and Mr. Rishi Ram Aryal shared their experiences on behalf of the participants. They expressed their gratitude towards NASC for the dedication and hard work during the 6 months period which led to the successful completion of the training. They said that the training imparted geographical, cultural and spiritual learning experiences. They expressed the good aspects of the training and also shared recommendations for the program. They provided suggestions on the modules and evaluation process for the effectiveness of the program.

Senior Director of Studies Mr. Narayan Gopal Malego shared about the overall progress of the program. He provided a brief about the achievements of the program and the expected learnings from the participants. He also said that the modules also addressed the challenges of federalism and changed context of Nepal. He suggested the participants to apply the learnings from the program and use the KSA to accept challenges and address the issues of civil service.

Hon'ble PM KP Sharma Oli addressed the graduates of 32nd BAT and suggested the participants to be innovative in performing the tasks and provide better service to the service seekers. He shared his experiences and said that the trainee officers have finished the exam for the successful completion of the training which is the doorstep to many other practical challenges in life. He questioned the trainee officers and led them to think deeply on whether they will be able to maintain their integrity while providing services and whether they will be able to satisfy the service seekers without doubt.

Hon'ble Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration Lal Babu Pandit shared that the trainee officers are the change enablers and that they should be prepared to face and solve any challenges while serving. He said that the officials should be sensitive to the society, cultures and religion and make decisions that are rightful and unbiased.

Secretary of Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration Mr. Dinesh Kumar Thapalia congratulated the trainee officers and shared that the officials will be posted in various parts of the country to fulfill the expectations of the citizens. He concluded by suggesting the officials to be dedicated and honest while performing their tasks.

Executive Director of NASC Mr. Punya Prasad Neupane congratulated the trainee officers for successfully completing the training program. He also suggested the trainee officers to understand that civil service is an integral part for the development of the citizens and nation and said that the officers should vow to serve the nation without prejudice. He asked the trainee officers to use their creativity in solving the challenges. He concluded by wishing the best for their successful tenure.

During the program, Mr. Dev Chandra Gartaula was awarded with the Executive Director Gold Medal by Hon'ble PM KP Sharma Oli for securing the highest position among the participants. PM Oli also awarded the highest scorer from each group namely Mr. Dev Chandra Gartaula (Prithvi Group), Ms. Babita Jaiswal (Khaptad Group), Mr. Dinesh Gyawali (Koshi Group), Mr. Mahodatt Adhikari (Karnali Group), Mr. Amrit Subedi (Gandaki Group), Mr. Krishna Shrestha (Bhrikuti Group) and Mr. Madhusudan Bhattarai (Mechi Group). Hon'ble Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration Lal Babu Pandit awarded the certificate of completion to the trainee officers during the ceremony.

The ceremony was followed by lunch at NASC. Director of Studies Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel hosted the closing ceremony. NASC faculties and staffs were also present during the ceremony.
