The closing ceremony of the seven-day Administrative Leadership for Local Governance (ALLGov) Training for newly appointed Class III officers of the Government of Nepal was successfully conducted on Asar 26, 2083. The event was chaired by Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel, Officiating Executive Director, and attended by Mr. Trilochan Pokharel, Senior Director of Studies, along with Mr. Shyan Kirat Rai, Director of Studies.
On behalf of all participants, Mr. Sumil Uprety, Ms. Ashmita Bhandari, and Mr. Prashant KC shared their experiences and reflections from the training. They acknowledged the effectiveness of the programme, appreciated the efforts of the NASC team, and provided constructive suggestions for further improvement in future training batches.
Addressing the participants, Mr. Trilochan Pokharel encouraged the newly appointed officials to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the training in their respective workplaces to enhance public service delivery. In line with Nepal Government’s National Integrity Policy 2083, he highlighted the importance of strengthening integrity and values in public administration. He emphasized that integrity should be demonstrated through professional behaviour, performance, accountability, and actions that build citizens’ trust. He further stressed the need for a value-based administrative culture to improve governance and minimize the costs arising from weak accountability and inefficiency.
During the ceremony, Mr. Sigdel and Mr. Rai distributed certificates of completion to all participants. Delivering the closing remarks, Mr. Sigdel underscored the significance of continuous learning, self-reflection, and professional development, encouraging participants to pursue excellence through deeper reflection and expanded awareness throughout their careers. The programme concluded with a formal closing ceremony.
