NASC Discussion Series 79 on the theme “Prospects of Civil Service in Nepal” was successfully conducted at Nepal Administrative Staff College on 18 Kartik 2080 (04 November, 2023). The key speaker of the event was Dr. Govind Prasad Kusum - former member of Public Service Commission and former Secretary of the Government of Nepal. Dr. Kusum was invited to share his experiences and insights on the theme. The event was moderated by Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal – Deputy Executive Director of NASC and former secretary of the Government of Nepal. The event was primarily targeted for the trainee-officers of Basic Administration Training (BAT)-37th batch’s residential groups. It was aimed at benefiting these newly recruited section officers through knowledge sharing and interactions. Attendees were mostly Bheri and Janaki Group’s participants and staffs of NASC and there were more than 60 attendees in the event which was of two hours. Ms. Achala Dahal, Director of Studies, Research and Consulting Services Department (RCSD) hosted the program. Mr. Lamsal initiated the program shedding light on the theme after which he handed the floor to Dr. Kusum. The program was then followed by series of questions from the floor which were duly responded by the key speakers and the moderator to conclude the event.
