Opening Ceremony of “Training on Developing Competencies for Administrative Service Excellence (Dev-CASE) “
The 15-days Induction Training for newly appointed class-III (Survey Officers) "Training on Developing Competencies for Administrative Service Excellence (Dev-CASE) commenced on 1st Bhadra, 2083. Ms. Roshani Bhujel, Course Coordinator, welcomed the participants to the opening session of the training.
Following, Dr. Shyan Kirat Rai, Centre Chief, Centre for Induction Training (CIT), provided an overview of the training programme and highlighted NASC’s role as an institution dedicated to professional development.
Mr. Janak Raj Joshi, Executive Director, Land Management Training Centre (LMTC), encouraged the participants to approach the training with an administrative and management-oriented perspective. He also appreciated NASC’s efforts to strengthen the capacity of public officials through professional training.
As an opening remarks for the training, Mr. Trilochan Pokhrel, Head of Department, Public Service Training Department (PSTD), shared insights into how perceptions of public service are shaping the current landscape. He underscored the importance of induction training and urged the trainee officers to remain committed to delivering quality public services. Head of PSTD Department reflected on changing nature of knowledge in digital age. Highlighting the role of Survey Department, he distinguished between authority and legitimacy emphasizing that legitimacy goes beyond formal authority and encompasses trust, values and public confidence.
This training programme consists of 15 participants of which 6 are female and 9 are male participants.
